Towpath Walk, Sunday 20th January 2019 was keenly supported by friends and family not deterred by the January chill of winter, as well as generating amazing support from sponsorship raised £780 – thank you to everyone for their kind generosity.

Quiz Night, Saturday 26th January 2019, another great turnout, raising over £600 – great to see new faces and our ever faithful followers (you know who you are), thanks everyone.

Ben’s Day 2019, Sunday 5th May which took place at Gravesend Grammar School once again, was another fantastic turnout in memory of Ben. Thank you to everyone who took part or came along to support the day and helped us to raise £7,000. A special appearance from Adam Holloway, our local MP, as well as a group of “Super Heroes”, (Incredible Hulk, Superman, Spiderman, Black Panther, Kick-Ass, Batman, and The Joker), helped the day turn out even more amazing.

Quiz Night, 27 th January 2018 a fantastic turnout, raising over £700 - thank you to all who gave their support.

Ben's Day 2017, which took place on Sunday 28 th May at Gravesend Grammar School, (Ben's old school), was an exceptional turnout this year in memory of Ben. The Foundation's Patron, Joe Pasquale as well as Gravesham Mayor Harold Craske and his wife Veronica came along to support the day. It was so good of them to come along and really make a difference to the day. Thank you for helping to make such fantastic memories for Ben's Day this year! Funds raised were £7,700, thanks to everyone who took part.

Our Quiz Night at Gravesend Rugby Football Club, 23rd September 2016, organised by Jade was a complete sell out and raised a staggering £723. Our Benefit Dinner followed at The Ship Inn, Southfleet, 11th November 2016, which proved to be a lovely, cosy setting, with good food and good company, enjoyed by all who attended, raised over £200. Thank you to all of our supporters old and new.

Elliott Reid completed the Three Peaks Challenge on 16 th July 2016 as well as completing "Ben's Day" this year. He has raised an amazing amount of over £1700 gaining sponsorship by accepting other challenges such as waxing his chest and legs, painting toenails pink, boxing 5 people with one hand behind his back, and more. Elliott's video challenges are now on YouTube! What a fantastic way to remember Ben.

"Ben's Day 2016", which took place on Sunday 29 th May at Gravesend Rugby Club, was a huge success with over 150 runners, walkers and supporters and Leukaemia Care in attendance. Adam Holloway, our local MP opened the day with very poignant, inspiring words reminding everyone most importantly why they were supporting Ben's Day, he also took time to jog along with some of the runners. Thank you Adam for making our day so memorable.

The lead up to Ben's Day this year was also supported by PHAB, one of our local charities who organised their very own fun run/walk on Wednesday 25 th May in memory of Ben. A very big thank you to Eileen and everyone who took part/attended. A phenomenal amount of £1085 was raised for the Foundation, taking our overall total to over £10,000.

Other Events

"Ben's Day" is a fun run to suit all abilities, whether a practiced runner or a casual walker. "Ben's Day 2015" was a huge success, a reunion for some and first time for others. Kevin Hateley, Fundraising Manager from Leukaemia Care opened the day. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped to make a difference. An amazing £7000 was raised in sponsorship. April 2014 Michael Haynes completed the London Marathon raising a phenomenal amount of £2500 for the Foundation.

Sept 2013 brothers Richard and Michael Haynes completed the Ipswich Half Marathon raising a fantastic £1600 for the Foundation.
